Opening hours
The Heidelberg Zoo is open 365 days a year. It opens at 9.00 a.m. and closes – depending on the month – between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

• March 09:00 to 18:00 h
• April to September 09:00 to 19:00 h
• October 09:00 to 18:00 h
• November to February 09:00 to 17:00 h

Last entrance until 30 minutes before closing time

Entrance Fees

Feeding Times

• Sea lion show: daily at 11.00 h and 16.00 h (except on fridays)
• Lions and tigers: daily 16.30 h (except on saturdays)
• Porcupine and racoons: daily 15.45 h (not during the winter season)
• Pelicane: 15.00 h
• Gorillas and elephants: Several times daily

Shopping at the Heidelberg Zoo
At the Heidelberg Zoo you also have the opportunity to do some shopping in our Zoo shop at the Main Entrance. Our shop offers an assortment of goods including a wide selection of merchandising articles, as well as T-shirts with animal motifs, postcards, animal games and cuddly toy animals.

The shop is open daily from 10 a.m., closing depending on the time of year.

Journey
Travel by public transport
The bus number 32 and 31 takes you from the main railway station directly to the zoo. You find more information about the timetable here: www.vrn.de

Travel by car
Take the highway A5, exit Heidelberg center and follow the signs ZOO in the university compound in Neuenheimer Feld. A large number of parking lots is available for you in the zoo area.
